Our second Spirit Training Conference happened on October 9th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. The event took place at the Matt Equinoa Park. A Covid waiver form, masks and key club spirit were required by all attendees! The event started off with a fun ice breaker. Then, the spirit team and our spirit task coordinators demoed three chants that attendees would learn for Fall Rally North. Members and officers could create their own groups and were able to pick someone from the spirit team to be the leader of their group. The attendees spent an hour practicing the three chants made by Amy Do. There was lots of excitement and stomping that took place! The attendees got a fifteen minute water break before the spirit battles began. For each group, members and officers were able to pick two songs to battle against a random team. Before each battle, each team would chant, “We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how about you,” twice to the opposing team. To declare the winner of each round, the attendees who weren’t battling would cheer the loudest for the winning team. As it came to the finale, the best four teams would go against each other. There would be two teams on each opposing side, battling to see who would win. Amy Do and Jamie Lynn Phan’s team won the finale. Towards the end of the event, our lovely Lieutenant Governor, Hailey Phan, updated us on our yearly goals. Members and officers took a division photo at the end.
