MCHS Club Rush

" Middle College High School’s Club Rush was held in the Dolores Huerta Plaza located on Delta College’s campus on August 10th from 9-11AM. The MCHS Club Rush included and featured (apart from Academic Decathlon) all the clubs within MCHS (including student government, even though it’s a class). Each club received tables and chairs to aid them with their booths, and from there each club individually created unique booth experiences to help the freshmen get a grasp of each club and in hopes that some of these freshmen would want to end up joining the clubs. Middle College’s very own Key Club was also in attendance, and our very own booth was decorated with various theme-specific things, such as a blue canopy, bear items and candies, as well as Vice President Britney Le’s giant stuffed teddy bear along with my entire outfit from the previous FRN. From this information alone it becomes pretty obvious that we attracted a good grouping of freshmen to our very loud and proud booth setup. Various board members along with President Kiara Flores and home club LTG Jamie Lynn Phan helped execute the booth design as well as the presentation portion aimed to the freshmen (although there was also a designated time for upperclassmen later in the day to check out the booths, club rush is mainly concerned about the freshmen, as everyone else is more or less already decided on club and extracurricular routes). Overall, it was a very great event, and it looks like MCHSKC will be having a great membership year once again! "
