May DCM

Division 27 North’s May DCM was held at Michael Faklis Park in Stockton on May 22nd from 11AM-1PM. The “Spring Into Service” DCM was a very special one for the 22-23 term, as it was LTG Jamie Lynn Phan’s very first solo DCM. Before moving onto the specifics of the event, it is important to note that Jamie did such a fantastic job presenting at the event and it is already evident that the division is in for a whole lot of greatness throughout her LTG term. Moving onto the specifics of the event, we first started off with wonderfully effective ice breakers, in which each prompted us to meet with random groupings of people that we may or may not know. This was a really fun ice breaker session because it allowed new people to meet each other and discover a few similarities they have with one another. After the ice breaker session concluded, we moved onto the DCM portion of the day, which began and concluded in an orderly fashion with each club sharing exciting news and results of what had transpired in the past month or so. Before moving onto the spring themed service projects, Jamie proceeded to reveal the new Division Leadership Team that will be serving alongside her this term! Congrats to all who were elected, and props to everyone who still ran. The service projects concluded the meeting, in which attendees constructed cards for the elderly as well as butterfly bookmarks for children and their reading adventures. Once again, such a wonderful and purposeful first DCM by Jamie, one that should excite all of D27N to see what further DCMs we will be attending in the future!
