July DCM and Sanri-OTC

"The June DCM and Sanri-OTC event was held in person at Saint Mary’s High School and online via Zoom on June 25th from 1-5PM. The event was open to all koibears from Division 27 as a whole, and included a division council meeting as well as an officer training conference with workshops, as described in the title of the event itself. D27N LTG Jamie Lynn Phan and D27S LTG Angelika Irada began the event with brief introductions followed up with a unique rock-paper-scissors icebreaker! After that, the event moved forward by starting off with the first workshop session of the OTC portion of the event. The initial sessions encompassed workshops pertaining to all of the basic club positions: president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and editors. As for myself, I attended the editors workshop for (hopefully) obvious reasons! Following after, we held a short and concise DCM meeting for both sister divisions , before moving into the last two sessions of the OTC period. During the DCM, old business and new business was discussed, alongside division spirit team results for both divisions. The last two sessions had various helpful workshops about the ins and outs of key club, as well as improvement in various important skills an individual needs to effectively develop. I personally attended the “BEEing a leader” and teamwork workshops, respectively! All of the presenters remained professional and helpful, and every other individual in charge of the event achieved high standards throughout the entirety of the event!"
