July DCM

"The July DCM event was held at Matt Equinoa Park in Stockton on July 24th from 4-6PM. The event was open to any member of the D27N grizzlies, and encompassed a DCM portion in addition to carnival based games to match with the minions theme of the event (a carnival was featured in the first Despicable Me movie!). After relaxing for a little bit waiting for all attendees to show up, LTG Jamie Lynn Phan started the event by introducing our two lovely STC’s Habeeb Khan and Ren Pham who lead theicebreaker of the event, sharks and minnows. Sharks are individuals who try to stopthe others, the minnows, from getting across from point a to point b. In my personalexperience, I was the last minnow standing and was a grizztastic shark as well! Butenough about me, this is about the DCM. After the icebreaker, we moved over to theusual DCM and as usual everything went smoothly (go us!!). With the DCM out of theway, for the last hour or so, attendees participated in various carnival games such asring toss, cornhole, and throwing ping pong balls into cups (the latter being myfavorite one). The event ended around 6PM, at which everyone left feeling satisfiedfrom the event, but dreadfully tired from the exhausting heat!!!"
