The Blue Grizzly DCM was located at Nelson Park from 4:30PM to 6:00PM. This event occurred on December 19th as it was rescheduled due to weather conditions. Attendees were required to wear their masks, bring a wrapped/bagged gift (no more than $5), and their COVID waiver forms. Members and Officers were encouraged to bring cozy blankets to stay warm, wear warm clothing, bring picnic mats/blankets to sit on, and lights for decoration. Executive Assistants, Joy Talaroc and Angie Nguyen, and Division News Editor, Lydia Her, greeted and checked in attendees and made sure all the required forms were present. Throughout the night, our Spirit Task Coordinator, Peter Nguyen, served hot chocolate with marshmallows to attendees! As everyone settled down under the gazebo, Lieutenant Governor, Hailey Phan, began the monthly recognitions for the month of December. Club updates, service opportunities, member recognition awards, and the progress of the division goals were talked about during the DCM portion. For the rest of the event, the game of White Elephant occurred! Joy Talaroc was the first person to steal a gift. This got to many attendees to steal gifts such as candles, hot chocolate bombs, and many more. Every attendee was able to go home with a gift that ranged from legos to even plants. This was the last DCM of the year and many members and officers can say that this DCM ended well.
