Bee My Valentine

The Bee My Valentine Interclub took place on February 19th at Nelson Park. This event was hosted by Bear Creek, Tokay, and Middle Club Key Clubs from 1 to 3PM. There were Valentine's themed service projects and partner based bonding activities. Presidents Jamie Lynn Phan, Ruby Novero, and Julia Margaret greeted members as they walked in and assigned them a number for the partner bonding activity. After that, they introduced the marriage photobooth that was created by MCHSKC’s Historian, Jennifer Pham. The gazebo was decorated with streamers and the tables were decorated with cute Valentine’s Day themed table covers. We started off the fun event with a game of Soulmate, hosted by one of MCHSKC’s Peace Officers, Kimberly Truong. Pin-the-arrow on Cupid was the first bonding activity, in which each pair of partners had to direct their blindfolded partner to pin-the-arrow on Cupid with a heart. A point would be awarded to the partners who were closest to the cupid's heart. The following game featured charades, with each charade having a Valentine's Day theme. The final partner activity was a balloon-popping race, in which each team was required to tie a balloon to their ankles while working together to pop the balloons of the other partners. After that fun and intense activity, the three finalized groups played rock-paper-scissors to see who would win. Our first place group received a giant teddy bear and each group received goodie bags. We transitioned to our service project, where members made Valentine’s Day Themed Cards and had love notes to pass around. Towards the end of the event, members took a lot of photos at our cute photobooth! I can say this was a very successful interclub hosted by our Presidents, Jamie Lynn Phan, Ruby Novero, and Julia Margaret.
