The August DCM was held at Orchard Lane Park from 10am-12pm. Colored name tags were distributed to members and officers as they handed their COVID release forms to the DLT. Our Spirit Task Coordinators, Peter Nguyen and Habeeb Khan, kicked off the DCM with two icebreakers. We dived right into the monthly recognition. During our serve-a-thon, there were five stations where members and officers would switch every thirty minutes. According to the colored name tags, members and officers would move as a group to the various service stations. Love Letters of Literacy, Bookmarks, Friendship Bracelets, Plastic Water Bottle Pots, and Posters for Healthy Lifestyles were the services that members and officers did. The attendees had an eating break after an hour of service, during which members and officers were able to enjoy Costco pizza that was provided for us. We continued the serve-a-thon and tons of members and officers were able to bond over these various services. As the DCM was ending, we took a division photo and said our goodbyes. On the same day as our August DCM, we had a Wingstop fundraiser that happened all day and 20% of all proceeds would be donated to the Pediatric Trauma Program.
