April 9th-12th, 2021| District Event

DCON, a district convention, was a three-day event that occurred from April 9th to April 12th. Members from all over CNH gathered to honor the accomplishments of the 2020-2021 term officers, advisors, and members. Members and officers were able to attend informational workshops that furthered their practice of the Core Values. Day 1 consisted of a meet and greet for the district executive candidates. A region session included 3 different regions that bonded with each other and a Q&A with the district leadership team. Day 2 had 2 schedules, one for delegates (non-delegates were allowed to use the following schedule) and one for non-delegates. The first general session was held, followed by 5 educational sessions for non-delegates, with an hour break between sessions 2 and 3. The award ceremony took place during the second general session, and the Governor’s Ball concluded the evening. Lastly, on day 3, there was an officer training session with alumni presenters as well as a Kiwanis Family session. The last general session included the announcement of election results, the retirement of the 2020-2021 district board, and installing the new 2021-2022 district board. DCON’s super special guest this year was singer/songwriter, AJ Rafael, who performed live. Everyone witnessed the results of the House of Delegates and was introduced to the new District Governor, District Secretary, and District Treasurer. Members from all over CNH were encouraged to participate in a variety of activities that required them to get to know and bond with each other.
