Throughout quarantine and months before, Middle College Key Club has participated in an ongoing service event at Friends of the Library in Stockton. Members would go in pairs to the library and help them clean and sort books. Because of the pandemic, only two members can go at a time and they are required to wear masks and gloves when inside the library. In order to keep everything safe for the next people to borrow the books, members sanitized and organized books. This event has been a big help for the Friends of the Library because organizing and sanitizing books is very time consuming.

Hello, I am Adelyna and I am a sophomore at Middle College! This month I have been to a service event called “Friends of the Library” which was provided by our home-club. I volunteered with someone else and we rearranged/sorted books, greeted customers, made sure they wore their mask and had clean hands. It was very fun and I would volunteer again with different and the same people while social distancing.
